Description
The Happy Tongue is a solid, curved mouthpiece with a port for tongue relief. It’s often a starting point for horses that show tongue sensitivity, such as shaking the head, putting the tongue out or trying to put it over the bit. As with a Pelham, the Kimblewick’s action depends on hand position. With lowered hands the rein slides down the Dee and the bit tilts to about 45°, adding downward pressure on the lower jaw and poll for a lowering action.
