Description
The Lock Up has a locking centre joint and a curved mouthpiece that remove the nutcracker action of a single jointed snaffle, so there’s less pressure on the bars. The mouthpiece can’t bend past a set point, so it stays curved in the mouth rather than forming a V that could rub the palate. Full cheeks stop pinching and prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth, and help guide the head, which is useful for schooling. Locking centre joint No nutcracker action Stays curved, won’t form a V Less pressure on the bars Full cheeks help with steering Specification Mouthpiece: Lock Up, curved with locking centre joint Cheek: Full cheek Material: Blue sweet iron Sizes: 5″ / 125mm, 5 1/8″ / 130mm, 5 1/4″ / 135mm, 5 1/2″ / 140mm, 5 3/4″ / 145mm, 6″ / 150mm Made from blue sweet iron, which oxidises easily and encourages salivation. The blue colour fades with use.
